Seljuks Exhibition, Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts (Istanbul)

Cliente: Boris Micka Associates

The newly renovated museum has reopened its doors with a temporary exhibition, “Seljuks”, dedicated to the extensive and mythical Seljuk Empire during its period of splendour between the 11th and 13th centuries.

“Seljuks” displays the cultural heritage of Seljuk society, paying special attention to its architecture and everyday life. The exhibition includes various archaeological pieces, tapestries and original manuscripts, as well as faithful reconstructions of the architectural achievements of the Seljuk culture.
Animated projections based on manuscripts and illustrations form part of the exhibition, surprising visitors and transporting them to the daily life of the Seljuks.
BGL has been a significant part of the success of this exhibition by designing, supplying and configuring the video projection systems, one of which is composed of three (3) synchronised projectors to create a projection area of 9m x 2.85m, in addition to the other corresponding audio systems.
